Downsizing your property

People generally downsize their property for a number of reasons, these could include: 

• Children have left home and the home is too large
• To buy a property that is nearer to the grandchildren
• To enable them to have 2 homes and live 6 months in UK and 6 months overseas or elsewhere in the UK
• Because they are determined to see the world so realise the value of a large home to buy a smaller home and therefore capital to see the world.
• An easier life 

A recent example of downsizing through Tailored Home work being that our client had a property to the value of £500,000 with 4 bedrooms but all of the children had left home, the client wanted an overseas property as well as a property in UK,  Tailored Home advised the client to downsize therefore selling their original property and with the proceeds Tailored Home sourced a new 3 bedroom house in the UK as well as a 2 bedroom apartment in Spain for the client to enjoy.
